CEIO launches awareness on the use of Digital Technology to combat trafficking in person (TIP), misinformation and disinformation.

"Empowering young people with digital skills is a critical step toward sustainable peace and effective advocacy," said Mr. Adama Dempster, Secretary-General of the Civil Society Human Rights Platform of Liberia, at the official launch. "This initiative by AYF Liberia provides the tools needed for youth to lead meaningful change and promote human rights through innovative and peaceful solutions."

“If you have access to technology, you have access to the world,” said Madam Amanda K. Armah, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at YMCA Liberia, during the official launch of the Digital Empowerment for Peacebuilding and Advocacy program. She emphasized the transformative power of technology, commended AYF Liberia for spearheading the initiative, and pledged YMCA Liberia’s continued support to African Youth Fellowship-Lib.

AYF Liberia, in partnership with YMCA Liberia and supported by UNFPA, has launched the Digital Empowerment for Peacebuilding and Advocacy program to equip young Liberians with digital skills for promoting peace and impactful advocacy. The initiative includes the creation of two e-libraries in Fiamah and 12th Street, offering offline access to resources for research and content creation. AYF Founder Moses Buwee emphasized the organization’s mission to inspire youth to shape a peaceful Liberia, while YMCA’s Madam Amanda K. Armah highlighted the transformative power of technology.
